Description:  One of the bifurcated bundle of Kenyon cell fibers arising from the anterior end of the pedunculus, projecting vertically (dorsally in flies but anterodorsally in e.g., bees). It comprises two main lobes (α lobe and α’ lobe) and smaller components including αp lobe and vertical γ lobe.
